Story 17

Read Sarah Butcher’s article on eFinancialCareers today. The timing is striking, given the woman who went viral on LinkedIn yesterday after saying she was suing one of the largest VC funds in the world for pay discrimination and more. It sounds like she was dared by the firm to speak publicly – and did. The support she’s received says a lot. I don’t believe the old rules apply in quite the same way anymore. Social media has power. Well done, ladies!

“A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within.” — Will Durant There is a quiet fact that circulates among Citi employees, rarely spoken aloud but widely understood: many of them don’t bank with Citi. This is particularly true in the Consumer Bank, where employees see the gap between…

112: your story resonated deeply. What you’ve documented at Wells Fargo isn’t isolated—I witnessed the same repeating pattern at Citi in Tech & Data. A C15 role came open. There was a highly qualified female candidate with a proven track record. Instead, an Indian male had been pre-appointed. When the hiring MD was confronted privately,…
