Story 43

I am a woman at Citi. I have been personally impacted by the weaponization of HR processes and unequal enforcement of workplace policies here. Hearing other women share their stories is so inspiring and I would very much like to share mine. However, for fear of retaliation, I feel like I have to save it for when I am no longer employed at Citi.

As the chair of a fintech board, I want to respond to stories 227 and 228. BoD’s have a clear legal responsibility to set the tone at the top; oversee ethics, conduct, and culture; and address executive misconduct or systemic issues when they arise. The suggestion that, in both cases, conduct about an executive is…

I’ve spent more than twenty years on Wall Street, and what surprises me is not that inequities exist, but how persistent and deeply embedded they remain. Gentle reader, this author has observed many a spectacle in her time. Yet nothing — not the most brazen advancement seeker of no particular merit, not the most shameless title hunter — quite prepares one for the singular institution that is Citi. For at Citi, no one will give you a job description. But if…

Story 364 – this makes me wish even more that I had been in the room when Jamie Dimon told Marianne Lake she was no longer part of JP Morgan’s succession plan. Everyone knows how ambitious she is. The rumours that she turned down a generous retention package rather than remain in her role, keep…
