Story 224

I recently left Citi but feel compelled to share what I was subjected to during my tenure.

Verbal Abuse: Frequent use of profanity and aggressive language during professional discussions.

Coercive Deadlines: A “do or die” management style involving constant threats to my position if tasks weren’t completed by end-of-day—even when timelines were unrealistic. Threatened to finish it by tonight otherwise the team lead would do himself .

Professional Isolation: Being arbitrarily muted or removed from business groups, which directly hindered my ability to perform.

Negligence: Basic administrative needs, like simple timesheet corrections, were ignored for days, showing a complete lack of support for the team’s well-being.

I am sharing this because no professional should have to work under such duress. I believe the team’s potential is being severely undermined by this culture, and I hope this feedback leads to meaningful change for those still there.
