Is it just me, or does Citi seem more willing to settle matters involving regulators and clients while digging its heels in against employees—particularly women—who bring claims of harassment, discrimination, or retaliation? I guess like its Epstein lawyer, Paul Weiss, it doesn’t care how its own people are treated but the C-suite is worried about the perception that it cuts corners with clients?!
The employee who sued [REDACTED], Jane Fraser’s COO, appears to have reached a settlement relatively fast.
There seem to be countless stories on this platform from current and former employees about shortcuts, workarounds, and the internal pressures that contributed to the Consent Order. If I were sitting on a whistleblower complaint related to data governance and control failures, I would do my best to find a lawyer ASAP and go to town.
