Story 308

To story 307, I went through the exact same in another group, we are not liars or crazy. With all the proof in the world, HR will never ever investigate anything. In my case a lawyer got involved and I managed to leave on my own, but everything else is the same playbook. In my first meeting with the lawyer, they told me step by step how things happened as they had seen it all before: the isolation, stripped responsibilities, bad performance, different standards than colleagues. I also felt the awkwardness of colleagues I had gone to lunch with and worked very well together. It was very lonely, but it is part of the game HR play in Citi.

I had enough proof to go to court and HR would just ignore it, say the opposite of what’s clearly written and gaslight me. When things weren’t written down, they would 100% believe the manager and ignore me as I had no written proof. Vague comments and no proof produced by my manager was trusted over written messages.

Look, I moved on, all this is in the past, but never forgotten. I learned a lot and it made me a better person that will never be part of these games. I hope you are okay too.

A friend posted a link to this article on Instagram. Before I clicked on it, was outraged that it was propaganda written by a man – only to realize it was a site set up by women, at which point I was worried for their safety but also in awe. Cheering them on. More of…

I had built a rhythm over two decades… always prepared,…

Is it just me, or does Citi seem more willing to settle matters involving regulators and clients while digging its heels in against employees—particularly women—who bring claims of harassment, discrimination, or retaliation? I guess like its Epstein lawyer, Paul Weiss, it doesn’t care how its own people are treated but the C-suite is worried about…

2/2 Palantir published a wildly unhinged manifesto today, which asserts software companies should help run national defense — and that society should reorganize itself around that idea, including bringing back the draft. Let that sink in — a software company sending your kid to war. Alex Karp is childless. I am not. He’s going to…
