Good for you to build a side-hustle that will sustain you into your later years. If I had known that sexism would be as problematic as it is, I would have done the same thing. I don’t have a single girlfriend who is over 50 looking for work that gets past the first interview these days. One joked this week: “Hell, if I knew that my MBA from MIT couldn’t save me after 55, I would have done a lot of things differently.

More women need to face this reality. I don’t believe GenX women understood this would be “a thing” for our generation – very, very naive of us.
