Displaced from Citi’s HR organization in July. Having joined the company several years ago, I don’t remember the separation process involving nearly this much paperwork—or so many provisions requiring employees to waive our right to sue in exchange for its crappy severance.
The entire process is very aggressive and lacks basic decency. Given the number of lawsuits that have become public, it also feels like Citi is running scared. So, bravo to the courageous women who have put them on their back foot. I am in my 50s and cannot believe they ever thought they had the upper hand – too many people work here to stay quiet forever. Some new, terrible scandal will break eventually. You can bet on it.
