The Irony of Impotent Leadership
The hypocrisy running through certain management circles at Citi is astounding. Two MDs in Tech took it upon themselves to tell a PMO MD that they should be fired.
What influence did these 2 actually have on pushing that MD out?
When neither of them can display basic team management or leadership ability, what business do they have evaluating anyone else?
Passing judgment on others while failing to meet the baseline standards of your own role is the exact definition of the broken “old Citi” culture. Not to mention the gender and national origin discrimination, the nepotism and coercive favors for promotion they’ve been investigated for.
It’s how struggling leaders redirect scrutiny outward to deflect attention from their own shortcomings.
These 2 members of the Indian Mafia should be fired. It’s long overdue too.
The only bad consequence from that is that they’d spoil the talent pool out there for an unlucky prospective employer.
