Story 437

I am aware of several more employee complaints and threats of lawsuits to Citi. You cannot deny, by now, this represents a significant failure of board governance. The Board has a responsibility to provide effective oversight, hold executive leadership accountable, and ensure that legal, reputational, financial, and cultural risks are being properly managed. A continued accumulation of employment claims suggests that this oversight is either insufficient or ineffective. The Board must confront these concerns directly, demand transparency and accountability, and establish clear expectations for meaningful remediation. Failure to do so risks normalizing unacceptable practices, undermining employee confidence, and exposing the organization to further liability. Obviously none of this will happen due to Fraser’s iron grip on everyone who is part of the board but at some point something will crack. It has to.
