Story 99
Over the course or my career, I have been consistently harassed by men, undermined by leaders, passed up for promotions despite being given additional work and responsibilities. My contributions were always expected and I wasn never allowed room for mistakes whereas my male colleagues were praised for the bare minimum. My looks and demeanor were constantly scrutinized, I felt like I had to constantly fit in a very narrow box whereas my male colleagues were allowed more freedom to look and act differently. I had colleagues flirting on chat, was touched inappropriately at Xmas parties. Recently someone said to me “I have a theory that you get by on looks and attitude”, completely ignoring my hard work.
